The story of the factory dates back to 1881, in Tortona (Alessandria), where Pietro Orsi opens a a hardware store, with a blacksmith’s forge attached. The first agricultural machine is being produced in 1902, a straw presser, but we have to wait till 1930 to see the first Orsi tractor, powered by an orizontal mono cylinder “testacalda”.
