Sabato ho pranzato da Claudio. Seduto a tavola con la sua famiglia e amici, ci siamo fatti un timballo di riso, del roast-beef e verdure gratinate, bevendoci sopra del succo d’uva fermentato in Toscana che si riesce a trovare anche da queste parti.
L’idea era quella di andare a fare qualche foto, ma la tavola e la conversazione poi hanno preso un divertente sopravvento: “Italians, they’re all about food and talks!“.
Foto? Beh, alla fine ci siamo trascinati sul Creek, e abbiamo preso la barca che attraversa il braccio di mare fino all’Old Souq di Deira …

Seems not foolish … for people to be ‘all about food and talks’. My coffee machine is making the most revolting coffee. I would discard it but it’s still so much better than what can be found here in Anversa I am missing Genova and good espresso. Belgians are much much much quieter than Italians and therefore, I can confirm, I am also missing the conversations I hear down on Via Ravecca when staying there. Enjoy your people, the food and the noise of it all 🙂

You are right, sitting, having food, talking, drinking a good glass of red wine makes somehow the Renaissance time still to be with us, crazy Italians: and, rest assured, I’m enjoying that everywhere in the word!
